I did a consulting session with client who was in the throes of a bad run of gigs. And thinking about quitting. You can’t quit I told him. You are a writer. If you stop writing you are not you. He admitted this was true. Once we took the possibility of quitting off the table then solutions to the creative knot started to come rapidly. 

There is always going to be a question. But if the question becomes: should I quit, then the real question can’t appear. The real question is how can I be better. More successful. More authentic. Funnier. Whatever the next question is. So take quitting off the table if you can. Cheering you on from here…
