I played a small but key role on "Sex and the City" and I've appeared on "Politically Incorrect" several times. I've appeared on NBC's Dateline, CNN, E! True Hollywood Story and numerous other shows. And I've played small roles in several obscure indie films that you've probably never heard of.

RADIO

In the heard but not seen category, I've been a commentator for NPR's "All Things Considered", ABC Radio and others and been on many radio shows. In fact I hosted my own daily radio show, "The Beth Lapides Experience", a magical mystery tour on an ill-fated network.

LIVE APPEARANCES

I am the creator, host and featured performer of the ground-breaking alternative comedy show Un-Cabaret, a legendary venue for personal comic storytelling by a mind-blowing posse of progressive comedians. We've done it as a TV special for Comedy Central, plus about a zillion live shows at M-Bar, LunaPark, Lollapalooza, the US Comedy Arts Festival, HBO Workspace, the Getty, the Skirball, the Friars Club, the Players Club, the Santa Maria Airport Hilton, the Knitting Factory, the Great American Music Hall, plus many other clubs, theaters and colleges.

My new show is 100% HAPPY 88% OF THE TIME, a more convenient truth about our times. So far it has been presented by LA Public Library's 'Aloud' series, the Comedy Central Stage, M-Bar, Highways, Urban Yoga.

I have written and performed my one-person theater shows at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), Institute of Contemporary Arts (Boston), HBO's UC Comedy Arts Festival, The Kitchen, Highways, ALOUD at the LA Public Library, the Comedy Central Stage, HBO Workspace, Solo Mio Festival, PS122, Harbourfront Theatre (Toronto), Brandeis University, Oberlin College, Echo Theater (Portland), Coast Playhouse, New Mexico Repertory Theater, Contemporary Art Center (Cincinnati), Cal Arts, Franklin Furnace, Third Eye Center (Glasgow), and many other clubs, colleges, art spaces and theaters. I have performed at benefits for dozens of progressive political and social organizations, including the ACLU's "Freedom Files", benefits, shows and events for for the Drug Policy Alliance, PEN, DPA, NOW, Feral Cat Alliance, Barbara Boxer, Sunset Hall, the Bohemian Womens Political Alliance and many others.
