Have Knots

I'm feeling grateful.
Counting my many blessings.
But like most of us
Feeling the overwhelm
Of the it's a lot ness.
And looking for a way
To be grateful for that.

Because it doesn't work
To be grateful for only the 'good' things.
Sure it's harder to be grateful
For the 'bad' things.
But eventually
You start to see it's mostly the 'bad' things
That have the more subtle
Slower to reveal themselves
And magically
Or at least
Mysteriously transformative
Alchemical qualities.

Like maybe you never asked
To become a more patient person.
But then a situation you never imagined
You would be glad about
Forced this patience to sprout
And now here it is.
And you begrudgingly have to admit
It’s now one of your most cherished tools.

And how to feel grateful for being broken?
I started to think about it as broken open.
And just that shift
Helped me make
A quiet and tender turn towards
Being thankful
For not being numb anymore.

And here's the thing.
When you look
At a plank of wood
Your eye naturally goes to the knot.
It's the most interesting part.

And those knots?
Those were where the tree
Had an infection
And grew around it.
Us too.

We have some trouble
Problem
Issue
Infection
And we do kind of grow around it.
It becomes part of us
It becomes part of our story.

You know what they say.
Pain plus time is comedy.
In the same way
Problems plus time are stories.

How would we live without stories?
So, thank you knots.

But now.
This overwhelming it's a lot ness
What might be the thing to be grateful for there?

Well.
We all feel it.
So we are connected by it.
I'm always grateful for connection.

And with all that's so much
It's easier to say whatever to smaller things.
It helps keep things in perspective.
Because you just don't have the energy.

Plus with the storm of chaos raging
There's the awareness
That any kind of peace
Comes from inside the house.
And the inside of your house
Is connected to the inside of my house.
It's all connected.
Through underground tunnels.
Where the roots of the trees talk.
And through the invisible threads
Lacing together the
Etheric everythigness.

And by the way.
They just awarded the Nobel Prize
To an experiment with entangled photons.
An experiment that proved
That what happens to one of the entangled particles
Determines what happens to the other.

The illustration
Shows the two photons
Contained by the two loops
Of an infinity sign.

You know how we feel about infinity signs
Over here at The Infinite Creator.

And this is the big thing
It's our deep sense of this entanglement
This non separation from each other
That is the it's a lot-ness in peak form.

Because it's a lot
To shift our understanding
To this kind of connection.
It's what every 'problem' has been trying to tell us.
The viruses.
Climate change.
Displaced populations.
The spectrum awareness
From gender
To neuro.

This difficult shift
To a border free/boundary healthy
It's a big knot
In the tree of earthly life.
And we can fold it into ourselves
And let it become part of our story.
Will we?

Trying to be grateful for the suspense.

May your weekend -
This Thanksgiving one or one in the some yet to be revealed future
Be connected
Whether you are with lots of people
Or on your own
May your stories unfold
And may you treasure your haves
And your have knots.

Infinitely yours… xx b
